It was fun while it lasted, but El Capitan's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Friday. They fell just short of the Alchesay Falcons by a score of 14-13. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kendall Hammon was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 4-for-5. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aryck Hammon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, El Capitan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .486 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, El Capitan fell to 4-1. As for Alchesay, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-1.

El Capitan has already played their next matchup, a 10-9 loss against Joseph City on the 8th. As for Alchesay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-13 victory against El Capitan/Centennial Academy on the 7th.
