Basketball Game Preview: Jim Ned Indians vs. Abilene Eagles

The Jim Ned Indians will face off against the Abilene Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Jim Ned is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 73-31 victory over Stamford. The Indians not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 7, 2024 (when they won 63-16).

Meanwhile, after only 30 points in their last matchup, Abilene made sure to put some points up on the board against Midland on Tuesday. The Eagles breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 83-46. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 22 points or more this season.

Abilene has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Jim Ned, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
