The Screven County Gamecocks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They fell just short of Metter by a score of 51-48. The contest was a 21-21 toss-up at halftime, but Screven County was outscored by Metter in the second.
Screven County's loss came despite strong showings from Demarko Ward and Deven Oliver. Ward scored 11 points, while Oliver scored eight points.
