Smith-Cotton was led to victory by Koleman Fredrickson and Armand Wright. Fredrickson threw for 161 yards and two TDs, while Wright rushed for 88 yards on only nine carries. The dominant performance also gave Fredrickson a new career-high in rushing yards (66).

When it comes to explaining why Jefferson City lost, don't look at Zavion Finney. Despite the final result, he rushed for 150 yards and one score. Finney was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards. Zach Barnes also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.
