Baseball Recap: Holmen Takes Down Sparta in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Holmen rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the Sparta Spartans get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Paul Goryl's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

Holmen's win bumped their record up to 15-9-1. As for Sparta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.
