Volleyball Recap: Gibbs' Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gibbs can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Lemon Bay Manta Rays on Thursday. If the Gladiators were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Manta Rays when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-6.

Despite the loss, Gibbs still got an impressive performance from Jade Carter, who had 31 digs. Carter has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Lemon Bay's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalie Googins, who had seven aces and one assist. That's the most aces Googins has posted over her last 11 contests.

Gibbs moved to 6-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak. As for Lemon Bay, they pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Gibbs nor the Manta Rays have any future games scheduled.
