Basketball Preview: Louisville Lions vs. Raymond Central Mustangs
The Louisville Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Raymond Central Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisville has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
Last Friday, Louisville ended up a good deal behind the and lost 46-27.
Despite the defeat, Louisville saw an underclassman step up: Lilly Bax scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Raymond Central earned a 57-44 victory over the on Monday.
Louisville dropped their record down to 4-16 with that loss, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.9 points per game. As for Raymond Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Louisville ended up a good deal behind the Mustangs when the teams last played back in February of 2023, losing 53-35. Can Louisville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
