Soccer Recap: Guymon Comes Up Short

Guymon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Garden City Buffaloes. While losing is never fun, Guymon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 97th in Oklahoma, while Garden City are ranked 28th in Kansas).

Guymon's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Garden City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-2 record this season.

Guymon will host Del City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Garden City, they will head out to square off against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Saturday. Garden City will need to watch out since Kapaun Mt. Carmel have now posted at least four goals in their last seven matchups.
