Recap: Carterville Lions vs. Harrisburg Bulldogs
The Carterville Lions lost against the Harrisburg Bulldogs back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Carterville took a 23-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harrisburg.
Carterville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Chance Myers, who rushed for 99 yards, and also caught a touchdown.
Carterville's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Harrisburg, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Carterville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harrisburg will be playing at home against Peoria Notre Dame at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Peoria Notre Dame is ranked 156th, while Harrisburg is ranked 137th).
