Gananda Central is 10-0 against Sodus since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Gananda Central Blue Panthers will head out to take on the Sodus Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Gananda Central came up short against Lyons and fell 45-32. While losing is never fun, the Blue Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Lions are ranked 88th).

Meanwhile, Sodus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were outmatched by Young Women's College Prep and fell 66-30. One positive for the Spartans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Sodus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Gananda Central, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Everything came up roses for Gananda Central against Sodus in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 68-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gananda Central since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
