Fort Wayne HomeSchool put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Smith Academy 58-21 on the road. Given Fort Wayne HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Smith Academy is ranked 455th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Sam Newcomer, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Isaiah King, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Angola HomeSchool had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Mishawaka HomeSchool W by a score of 49-38 on Friday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Angola HomeSchool has managed all season.
Fort Wayne HomeSchool has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. As for Angola HomeSchool, their victory bumped their record up to 1-5.
Fort Wayne HomeSchool took their victory against Angola HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 72-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Wayne HomeSchool since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
