After a string of seven wins, Carolina Forest's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the St. James Sharks by a score of 6-5. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sharks earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Carolina Forest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Riser, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Gatlin Pasco, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Carolina Forest's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for St. James, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.
