Softball Recap: Pershing County Gets the Win

Pershing County posted their closest win since May 10, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past the Pyramid Lake Lakers 13-12. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-2 on Friday.

Jerzie Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and 11 unearned) runs off seven hits. Jones was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted over her last five games.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Harvey, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Arya Garland, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
