Volleyball Recap: Woodland Regional's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Woodland Regional waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Seymour Wildcats. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 21-25, 25-16, 25-13.

Ayla DeCrescenzo paced Woodland Regional's offense, picking up eight kills. DeCrescenzo got some help from Hannah Mishler and her 21 assists. Carina Rodriguez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Woodland Regional's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Seymour, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Woodland Regional has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Torrington on the 22nd. As for Seymour, they will face off against Kennedy at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
