Caleb Swart was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Swart was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Dylan Acevedo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Christopher McCauley was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Minisink Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Valley Central, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
