Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Kennedy Commanders, falling 95-19. The Saints lost against the Commanders in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 67-48 score last time.

Kennedy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Zink, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Zink a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Benavidez, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will venture away from home to take on Arrupe Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
