Basketball Game Preview: New Site Royals vs. Hatley Tigers

New Site is 4-0 against Hatley since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The New Site Royals will challenge the Hatley Tigers at 4:00 p.m. New Site is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, New Site ended up a good deal behind East Union and lost 64-50.

Despite the loss, New Site got top-tier performance from Chloe Chism, who posted 22 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Chism has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Knight, who put up six points.

Even though they lost, New Site smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 18 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hatley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Hamilton on Monday as Hatley made off with a 73-50 victory.

New Site's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Hatley, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.

Everything came up roses for New Site against Hatley in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured an 83-52 victory. Does New Site have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hatley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
