Volleyball Recap: Martinsville Comes Up Short

Martinsville lost against Greensburg back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Artesians fell 2-0 to the Pirates. The Artesians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kirkley Lowe was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and one assist.

Martinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Greensburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Martinsville and Greensburg will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Artesians are set to challenge their familiar foe Plainfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Greensburg will face off against rival Batesville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
