Softball Recap: Cooper Has No Trouble Against Campbell

Cooper got themselves on the board against Campbell on Tuesday, but Campbell never followed suit. They blew past the Indians 22-0. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

Kelci Sonntag made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Halle Toon was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Adysen Ross was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Cooper always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Cooper's record is now 7-12. As for Campbell, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-16.

As of now, neither Cooper nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
