Basketball Game Preview: East Leopards vs. Highland Rams

East is on a five-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Highland a 16-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The East Leopards will host the Highland Rams at 5:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East and West faced off in a cross-town battle on Tuesday. East was outmatched by West and fell 80-30. The Leopards were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-16.

Meanwhile, Highland played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 52-22 loss at the hands of Alta. The Rams were down 42-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

East will have to contain Katinia Olevao as she made an impact in Highland's last game. She posted ten points along with eight boards and three steals. Those eight boards gave Olevao a new career-high.

East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

East strolled past Highland when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 50-32. Does East have another victory up their sleeve, or will Highland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
