Connell waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took their game with ease, bagging a 69-6 victory over the Kiona-Benton Bears. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

Hunter Vanhollebeke had a dynamite game, throwing for 360 yards and six TDs. Benjamin Naef was in the mix as well, providing Connell with three touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Connell proved: they limited Kiona-Benton to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The Eagles didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.3.

Connell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Vanhollebeke and Danny Ramos.

The win got Connell back to even at 3-3. As for Kiona-Benton, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Connell will host Cashmere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 4.5 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Kiona-Benton, they will be playing at home against Wapato at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
