Basketball Recap: Cesar E. Chavez Lobos vs. Heights Bulldogs
Cesar E. Chavez played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 82-20 loss at the hands of the Heights Bulldogs. The Lobos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-10.
Several Lobos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grant Johnson, who posted four points along with six boards and three steals.
Heights got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rockwell Henderson out in front who made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points and four steals. That's the most points Henderson has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan Clavelle, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Cesar E. Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Heights, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-11.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lamar the next time they take the court. Cesar E. Chavez will host Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Heights will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on January 25th.
