Soccer Preview: Avon Rolling After Win, Midview Looking to Bounce Back

Avon has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will welcome the Midview Middies at 7:00 p.m. Avon will be strutting in after a victory, while Midview will be coming in after a defeat.

Avon is headed into the contest having not lost since August 22 and will look to keep things rolling. They came out on top against Magnificat by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Avon were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Midview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Westlake. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Midview couldn't quite close it out.

Avon has been performing incredibly well recently, winning six of their last seven games. That run has powered them to a 6-2-1 record this season. The wins were made possible by their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those seven contests. As for Midview, they have now lost nine of their last 10 games at home. That leaves them at a 2-8 record this season.
