Baseball Recap: Barker Comes Up Short

Barker came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Akron Tigers, falling 12-5. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Noah Sandolfini was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Barker's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Akron, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Barker will host Newfane at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Akron, they are taking a road trip to square off against East Aurora at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
