Softball Recap: Dixie Heights Takes a Loss

Dixie Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Campbell County Camels, falling 17-4. The Colonels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Camels from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Dixie Heights saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was 1 Maddison Skees, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Skees also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another was 14 Sydney Schumacher, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double.

Dixie Heights' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Campbell County, their record now sits at 8-2.

Dixie Heights has already played their next contest (against Oldham County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Campbell County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 28-10 victory against Bracken County on the 9th.
