If Fullington Academy was riding high fresh off their 48-0 takedown of Crisp Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots on Friday.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aidan Hill, who picked up 112 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 56 yards and one score. Hill really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 96 yards. Another player making a difference was Clay Sangster, who picked up 112 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Sam Ables looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 155 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 passes, while also punching in a pair of scores on the ground. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in August of 2024. Citizens Christian Academy also got a significant boost from Dalton Rogers, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

Fullington Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Citizens Christian Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fullington Academy will welcome David Emanuel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
