Softball Game Preview: Polk County Wildcats vs. Red Bank Lions

Polk County is on a 14-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Red Bank a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Polk County Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Bank Lions at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Polk County duked it out with Meigs County on Thursday. The Wildcats lost 8-2 to the Tigers.

Polk County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mallie Evans, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Red Bank came up short against Soddy Daisy on Thursday, falling 13-1. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Red Bank's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Polk County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went Polk County's way against Red Bank in their previous matchup back in March, as Polk County made off with a 9-0 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
