Imagine Prep gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They really took it to the Maya Jaguars for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-18 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-14.
Imagine Prep was led to victory by Tatum Raymond and Li'Tavia Jackson. Raymond almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine steals, while Jackson dropped a double-double with 18 points and 19 rebounds. Jackson is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Julissa Cabral was another key player, putting up ten points.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Imagine Prep will host Imagine Prep Coolidge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maya, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Valley Athletes for Christ at 5:00 p.m. on December 8.
