            Basketball Recap: Marbury Bulldogs vs. Chilton County Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Marbury was the  61-44 winner over Chilton County when they last played one another  back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Marbury Bulldogs took  a  72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chilton County Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game  last Thursday (56), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

 Marbury lost  on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Jason Crenshaw, who  posted 15 points. The dominant performance gave  Crenshaw a new career-high in  points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jamar Brown, who  had 14 points.
 Chilton County's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Jackson Yates, who  put up six  points along with nine  rebounds and five  blocks.  Cayden Meank was another key player,  going 6 for 14  on his way to 20 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Marbury and  nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for Chilton County, their win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-14.
 Marbury wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  55-52  loss against Holtville on the 23rd. As for Chilton County, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  65-32  defeat against Benjamin Russell on the 23rd.
