Karsyn Coleman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kendall Graves was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Warren, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bedford North Lawrence kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Jennings County unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Seymour by a score of 3-2.
Jennings County also got a good showing from Audrey McDonald, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Riley Byford was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Maycie Ward, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Bedford North Lawrence's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Jennings County, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-7.
Jennings County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bedford North Lawrence has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Jennings County, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Bedford North Lawrence's sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bedford North Lawrence took their victory against Jennings County when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 17-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
