Murray is 7-1 against Mayfield since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Murray Tigers duke it out with Mayfield Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses dating back to last season for Murray and three for Mayfield.

Murray is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They lost 16-3 to Stewart County on Wednesday.

Murray saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shia McNutt, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That run was McNutt's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Mayfield came up short against Hickman County on Thursday, falling 15-6.

Mayfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Murray came out on top in a nail-biter against Mayfield when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Does Murray have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mayfield turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
