Basketball Game Preview: Tishomingo County Braves vs. Ripley Tigers

Tishomingo County is 2-8 against Ripley since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tishomingo County Braves will venture away from home to square off against the Ripley Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Tishomingo County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

While Tishomingo County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 58-48 win over Belmont on Friday. That's two games straight that the Braves have won by exactly ten points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ripley took on Walnut on Tuesday. Ripley came out on top against Walnut by a score of 63-53. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tishomingo County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Ripley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Tishomingo County was able to grind out a solid victory over Ripley in their previous matchup back in January, winning 54-43. Will Tishomingo County repeat their success, or does Ripley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
