Preview: Crossover Prep Lions vs. Union Christian Academy Eagles
The Crossover Prep Lions will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Union Christian Academy Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on January 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Crossover Prep is ranked 300th in Oklahoma, while Union Christian Academy is ranked 316th in Arkansas).
Crossover Prep suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Friday. They took a serious blow against Oklahoma City S, falling 63-24.
Meanwhile, Union Christian Academy strolled past Mount Ida with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 51-36.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Shure, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Shure has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Curtis, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Crossover Prep's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-9. As for Union Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.
