Holcomb came tearing into Monday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Spearville Lancers as they made off with a 16-6 victory. Considering the Longhorns have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Holcomb's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Spearville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
