Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

If St. Mary was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Corbett on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders lost 3-0 to the Burns Hilanders on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2016.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-12.

Bailey Temple had a dynamite game For Burns., getting 13 digs and ten aces.

St. Mary's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8. As for Burns, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 26 of their last 27 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-1-1 record this season.

As of now, neither St. Mary's nor Burns have any future games scheduled.
