Softball Game Preview: Mansfield Senior Tygers vs. Wooster Generals

The Mansfield Senior Tygers will head out to square off against the Wooster Generals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Senior is looking for their season's first victory.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mansfield Senior's offense. They lost 16-0 to Lexington on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Wooster got themselves on the board against Smithville on Monday, but Smithville never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Smithies with a sharp 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Smithies: they've now won three in a row.

Emily Boyd was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiara Hanna, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Wooster lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Mansfield Senior's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Wooster, their win bumped their record up to 6-19.
