Baseball Recap: Surry County Takes a Loss

Surry County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Windsor Dukes, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dukes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on Thursday.

Surry County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Edwards, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Surry County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Windsor, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Coincidentally, Surry County and Windsor will both be playing Brunswick the next time they take the field. The Dukes will host the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
