Grasso Tech posted their biggest victory since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Harvard Ellis Tech with a sharp 70-44 win.
Grasso Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Charis Johnson led the charge by scoring seven points along with ten assists and four steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerry Santiago, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Lyman Memorial's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-43 walloping at the hands of Tourtellotte. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Lyman Memorial has suffered yet this season.
Grasso Tech now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lyman Memorial, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10.
Grasso Tech was dealt a bruising 66-36 defeat at the hands of Lyman Memorial when the teams last played back in January of 2023.
