Basketball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland easily dispatched Greenville last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Raiders fell just short of the Timber Creek Falcons by a score of 63-60 on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Richland still got an impressive performance from Jacob Battles II, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 21 points along with six boards and four steals. Kaiden Smith was another key player, putting up 15 points and four steals.

Richland suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Timber Creek, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4.

Coming up, Richland will square off against Krum at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Timber Creek, they will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Royals at 10:30 a.m.
