Softball Recap: Lawrence Central Takes a Loss

Lawrence Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-2 to the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Lawrence Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliana Luter, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. Zani Dumas also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lawrence Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Lawrence Central will welcome Guerin Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to face off against Trinity Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
