Nokomis is 8-2 against Gardiner since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Nokomis Warriors will square off against the Gardiner Tigers at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Nokomis and four for Gardiner.

Last Friday, Nokomis ended up a good deal behind Hampden and lost 49-35. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Broncos are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, Gardiner came up short against Brewer on Tuesday and fell 57-45.

Gardiner now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Nokomis, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Nokomis was able to grind out a solid win over Gardiner in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 65-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nokomis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
