With a playoff win on the line, Hudson rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Chippewa Falls Cardinals a 4-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Hudson, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Hudson and bumps their season record up to 13-5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matches. As for Chippewa Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-2.

Looking ahead, Hudson will face off against Wausau West on Saturday. Wausau West's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Chippewa Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
