Basketball Recap: E.E. Smith Triumphs

After losing to Northwood the last time they met, E.E. Smith decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Golden Bulls walked away with a 53-43 victory over the Chargers on Saturday.

Patrick Barber had a dynamite game, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Williams, who posted ten points along with six assists and five boards.

Despite the loss, Northwood still got an impressive performance from Cam Fowler, who went 8-for-14 en route to 22 points and seven rebounds. The matchup was Fowler's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asaiah Sherrod, who scored six points and five boards.

E.E. Smith now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northwood, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

E.E. Smith didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-53 win against Terry Sanford on the 5th. As for Northwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-26 victory against Carrboro on the 2nd.
