Basketball Recap: Lone Tree Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lone Tree hadn't done well against Wapello recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lone Tree Lions managed a 60-55 win over the Wapello Indians. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 75-64 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Lone Tree's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2. As for Wapello, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Lone Tree will take on Cedar Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cedar Valley Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 169 points over their last three matches. As for Wapello, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winfield-Mt. Union at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
