Football Recap: Trimble Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Football Recap: Trimble Tomcats vs. Nelsonville-York Buckeyes
Trimble had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 21-14 to the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes on Friday. The Tomcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buckeyes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Although Trimble took the loss, they still got scores from Luke Orsborne and Brady Jajczyk.
Leading Nelsonville-York to victory were Alec Thompson and Austin Gautier. Thompson picked up 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Gautier rushed for 110 yards. Thompson got the majority of those yards when he pulled down a pass and and took off for a gain of67 yards.
Trimble will head out to challenge Berne Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nelsonville-York, they will be playing at home against Logan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
