Cardinal Newman waltzed into their match on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Ukiah Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Cardinal Newman walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-10, 25-19.

Cienna Alvarez paced Cardinal Newman's offense, picking up 16 kills. Alvarez got some help from Kimmy Wilson and her 29 assists. Finally, Summer Binder kept Cardinal Newman's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Cardinal Newman's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Ukiah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.
