Basketball Game Preview: Southampton Academy Raiders vs. Windsor Dukes

The Southampton Academy Raiders will square off against the Windsor Dukes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southampton Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three games.

Last Thursday, Southampton Academy strolled past Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot with points to spare, taking the game 65-50.

Southampton Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from G Applewhite, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 20 boards. The match was Applewhite's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was J Holland, who posted 17 points.

Meanwhile, Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Bruton, falling 80-28. While losing is never fun, the Dukes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while the Panthers are ranked 137th).

Southampton Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Windsor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
