Bethany Community never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Carver Yellowjackets as they made off with  a  20-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won five matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Olivia Baker and  Leah Denny did most of the damage at the plate:  Baker  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances, while  Denny  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.  Alyssa Rakestraw was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base.
 Bethany Community was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .529. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The  win made it two in a row for Bethany Community and  bumps their season record up to 7-5. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0  runs in those games. As for Carver,  they are  on  a  15-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethany Community will venture away from home to  take on Wesleyan Christian Academy  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Carver, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season  when they go up against Atkins  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
