Baseball Recap: Gadsden County Takes a Loss

Gadsden County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 24-3 to the Hamilton County Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 two weeks ago.

Gadsden County's loss dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Hamilton County, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-16.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Gadsden County will face off against Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars are facing the Tornadoes at the right time seeing as the Tornadoes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hamilton County, they will square off against Crossroad Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: the Scorpions will have lost 17 straight heading into Monday's game.
