            The Los Angeles CES Unicorns will head out to  face off against the St. Monica Mariners  at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with five  defeats in a row, Los Angeles CES  turned things around against Hamilton  on Friday. They walked away with  a   10-5  victory over the Yankees. Considering the Unicorns' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Los Angeles CES got a  massive  performance out of  Luke Polizzi, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.  Brandon Phan was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
St. Monica not only won  on Friday, but they posted their biggest win  since February 21st. They blew past Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary 13-7. The Mariners haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 Finley Crosby made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Joey Parra, who  went 3-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  double. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  David Dyaz, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 St. Monica  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .579. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Los Angeles CES' record is now 5-8. As for St. Monica, their record is now 4-8.
